Terms and conditions

1. The service

One Dollar CV lets you choose a resume or cover letter template, edit it in your browser, and buy a PDF copy of the finished document. Editing, previewing and our ATS score are free. You only pay when you download a PDF.

2. Accounts and guest use

You can use the service as a guest or with a free account. You must be at least 16 years old, give accurate information and keep your password and any two-factor codes private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Guest documents are linked to your browser. If you clear your browser data or close the download page as a guest, you may lose access to the editable copy, although your retrieval code still lets you download the PDF you bought during its download window.

3. Prices and payment

• Each PDF download costs US$1.00, or Rs 280 when paying in Pakistani rupees. Prices include any taxes we are required to charge.
• Payment is one-off. There is no subscription, trial or automatic renewal.
• Card payments in US dollars are processed by Stripe. Payments in Pakistani rupees (JazzCash, Easypaisa and local cards) are processed by PayFast. We never see or store your full card or wallet details.
• Promo codes are optional, single-purpose and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Your bank or wallet provider may add its own fees or currency conversion, which we do not control.

4. Delivery

Your PDF is delivered digitally, in your browser, as soon as payment is confirmed (usually within seconds). We also email a receipt with a retrieval code. Purchased PDFs can be downloaded again for 7 days. Full details are in our service and delivery policy.

5. Refunds

Because the product is a digital file delivered immediately, purchases are generally final once downloaded. We refund failed or broken downloads, duplicate charges and technical problems we cannot fix. See the refund policy.

6. Your content

You own the text and photos you add. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service: showing your document, saving your drafts and generating your PDF. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights or contains malware.

7. Template licence

Templates, designs, sample text and the website are owned by Scalacy. When you buy a PDF you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use that document for your own job applications and career purposes. You may not resell templates, copy them in bulk, scrape the website or attempt to download PDFs without paying. We may suspend accounts and block access that breaks these rules.

8. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, bypass payment or security measures, access other people's documents, or use the service to send spam or misleading applications in another person's name.

9. No guarantee of employment

Our templates, tips and ATS score help you present your experience clearly, but we cannot guarantee interviews or job offers. Hiring decisions are made by employers and their systems.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may improve, change or retire features and templates. If we make significant changes to these terms we will update the date above, and continued use means you accept the new terms.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. We will always try to resolve a complaint with you directly first. Please contact us before taking any other step.
